PROJECT MANAGER/JUNIOR DESIGNER 

DESCRIPTION:

We are looking for a Project Manager/Junior Designer who also believes in delivering a best-in-class experience including strong attention to detail, excellent written and verbal communication, consult and negotiate with vendors on behalf of our clients, and of course, delight in the hunt for the perfect furniture and accessories to exceed our clients’ expectations.  

The Project Manager/Junior Designer will help the lead designer in creating functionally beautiful spaces for residential and commercial clients while using industry knowledge, design experience, innovative design concepts and creativity. Responsibilities include developing schematic designs, drafting furniture plans and elevations, sourcing and preparing presentations, attending client meetings, maintaining budges and all schedules, attending site visits regularly and helping throughout installs. The candidate should be knowledgeable of all vendors and showrooms, with experience in custom furniture and details.

 The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, has a positive attitude, is a team player and of course, passionate about the design process. Must be willing to travel to job sites as needed.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Establish and maintain sound professional relationships with clients and suppliers.

  • Create Master Presentations & Schedules.

  • Create Invoices, & Purchase Orders.

  • Maintains files and records of materials, prices, inventories and deliveries.

  • Communicate with all vendors regularly, this includes architects, builders, contractors, etc.

  • Facilitate and manage regular communication with suppliers/vendors to ensure timely delivery of all items.

  • Experience with Ivy Interior Design Software a major plus but not required.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Interior Design Experience - internship or previous work experience in the industry.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design or related field from an accredited school

  • Proficient in AutoCAd, SketchUp, and Adobe Creative Suite.

  • Knowledge of furniture, finishes, materials, color selections, and specifications.

  • Knowledge of design requirements, construction methods and materials for high end residential environments.

  • Great ability to multitask, work independently as well as a team, fearless and ambitious.

  • Must be GREAT at follow through!
