Position Overview

At The Refined Group our mission is to create homes that reflect a refined sensibility for healthy living. Our team is focused on creating an excellent client experience. We depend on each team member to be highly service focused. We are looking for a Design Intern that is highly motivated, detail and task oriented, self-sufficient, and creative with a strong attention to detail.

The Design Intern will assist the design team in creating functionally beautiful spaces for residential and commercial clients while using technical skills and creativity. Responsibilities include drafting furniture plans and elevations, preparing presentations, attending client meetings along with lead designer, maintaining schedules, and attending site visits (if necessary).

Job Requirements

  • Create Presentations, Mood boards, & Schedules

  • Draft floorplans, spatial layouts, elevations, etc.

  • Rendering capabilities, a major plus

  • Create Invoices, & Purchase Orders

  • Maintains files and records of materials, prices, inventories and deliveries

  • Assist with buying, tracking, & receiving of merchandise

  • Communicate professionally with clients and vendors

Qualifications

· Interior design degree or currently pursuing interior design degree

· Proficient in Adobe Photoshop & InDesign

· Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Word)

· Proficient in AutoCAD

· Proficient in SketchUp

· Excellent written and verbal communication skills, organizational skills, time management, problem solving, and multi-tasking skills are a must

· The ability to always communicate in a professional manner

· Creative, team player, hardworking, passionate, self-starter, driven, and positive attitude is a must!
